In this second post from the Fruit Vocabulary series, we’ll talk about perhaps the best known fruit on our planet: apples.

Apple trees have been grown for thousands of years in Asia and Europe and were taken to North America by European colonists.

Apples have religious and mythological significance in many cultures (that I’m sure you will be telling me about in your comments).

Oh, one more thing, did you know that apples are from the rose family?

Now let’s start playing with the word “apple”…
